Torah Thoughts: Deception

This week I would like to touch on some deception that is present in our current and past societies. The enemy works in opposition to Yah‘s holy and perfect order. Satan works by altering the state of consciousness by hypnotizing the masses. Again we will talk about hypnosis. Hypnosis is a human condition involving focused attention reducing peripheral awareness, and an enhanced capacity to respond to suggestion. People under hypnosis are put into a trance. A trance is a half-conscious state characterized by an absence of response to external stimuli, typically as induced by hypnosis or entered by a medium. So long story short, hypnosis is administered by a medium to put the subject in a sleep-like state. But, why? So the subject is more prone to accept suggestions or changes they wouldn’t normally accept. It’s like walking with headphones on. You will start to have tunnel vision. If you are not aware you will start to pay attention only to woods presented in front of you and not around you. The medium is an agency or means of doing something. It can manifest itself in different ways, but to name a few; television, radio, or the Internet. The content conveys by the medium is designed to appeal to certain sections of the brain, mostly the frontal lobe. The frontal lobe mostly controls; personality behavior, emotion, and judgment. Some of the things we see on these mediums we like or desire but other things we see affect us negatively. It is an interesting duality it reminds me of the tree of knowledge in the garden. David tells us in Psalm 12:8, that the wicked walk proudly when vileness is honored among men. We are definitely living in those days and it will only get worse. All around us we see the pushing of certain ideologies to pervert the natural order of the world. But, these types of thoughts and ideologies come from small things we allow to come into our subconscious. In the next blog, we will explore several theories that are popular rise in society that perpetuates these thoughts in our minds. We will explore several theories that are popular in a society that perpetuates these thoughts in our minds. Hope this at least provided a seed for reflection. Shalom!

Who is" Ms Torah Tassels"? I am a wife and a mother of two. I am 33 years old, and I have been on my spiritual journey for three and a half years. I am by no way a teacher. I am still someone learning myself., but I wanted to write this blog to do my part in spreading the 'good news'. I want to be as transparent as possible and share my continuous journey with other believers as well as those coming into the faith. I want to testify to the holy spirit's transforming powers through the obedience of Torah. My husband and I started this blog to encourage our brothers and sisters in the faith to have courage and faith in the process. The refinement does not happen overnight, but trust me in time it will change you for the better. I am amazed to see this new person in the mirror that looks like me but certainly doesn't act like me. And the crazy thing about it is that this is not the finally product, there is still work to be done. I am a regular person with regular flaws and fear alike, and I struggle with doubts like any other human being. In this blog I with share options along with thoughts on everyday life in my perspective. I will share some topics that will be disagreed by some and others may cause offense. I encourage content to be taking with a grain of salt. I look forward to talking with people of like mindedness. Shalom
